The Women’s Foundation of Greater Kansas City is committed to teaching women and girls about philanthropy through the following programs
360° of Giving is a group of some 30 women (ages 20 and up) that contribute $250 annually to a pool. Funds are then granted to nonprofits serving women and girls in Kansas City. The nonprofits selected use these funds to provide paid internships for young women. Bringing full circle the money donated by the 360° of Giving members.
The Rachel Alexandra Girls Grant Project was established in 1999 for the purpose of teaching area teen women all aspects of philanthropy including grantmaking, fundraising, leadership, teambuilding, program evaluation and budgeting.
Three years ago, more than 100 women and men became a voice in philanthropy. They became a part of a very special and unique network of philanthropic individuals who support the work of The Women’s Foundation of Greater Kansas City. Because of this support, The Foundation has been able to further its mission.
