Voices In Philanthropy

As a Kansas City V.I.P. your help will allow The Foundation to transform the lives of women and girls in our community.

Three years ago, more than 100 women and men became a voice in philanthropy. They became a part of a very special and unique network of philanthropic individuals who support the work of The Women’s Foundation of Greater Kansas City. Because of this support, The Foundation has been able to further its mission by:

  • Conducting new research to learn the needs and priorities of women and Girls in the Kansas City metro area, so we can use our money wisely.
  • Expanding the Rachel Alexandra Girls Grant Project to enable more girls To participate in the program.
  • Enhancing our annual events by bringing in sought-after speakers to Inspire our supporters and attract new ones.
  • Upgrading our office and technical support, including adding new Computers and creating a new website.
  • Joining other social networking sites.

As we look ahead and understand the increasing needs of women and girls, we are moved to deepen our efforts and extend our relationships in the community. To continue to expand and improve we need help! As a Voice in Philanthropy, you’ll enable us to keep on keeping on by contributing money and ideas to support our operating efforts. Here are some of the things we want to accomplish in the next few years:

  • Establish a second 360° of Giving Circle.
  • Host quarterly information session pertinent to the research findings.
  • Continue to expand the staff.
  • Implement a Foundation-wide electronic communications tool.

It is as a collective voice that we can make the greatest difference – the greatest impact – for women and girls in Kansas City. The louder our collective voice, the more The Foundation can do to transform the lives of women and girls in our community.

To become a Kansas City V.I.P., you are asked to make a three–year commitment of giving a minimum of $1,000 annually.  With this commitment you get the following benefits:

  • A personal note of welcome from The Foundation’s Executive Director.
  • An introduction and welcome letter from The Foundation’s Board President.
  • A quarterly newsletter from The Women’s Foundation.
  • Invitation to The Women’s Foundation Annual meeting and Grants Awards Luncheon.
  • Patron’s Party and Golf Classic Tee-Off Party.
  • Preferred seating and special recognition at The Women’s Foundation events.
  • Recognition on The Women’s Foundation Wall of Honor, The Foundations’ publications and on The WFGKC website.
  • Invitation to a Financial Fitness Seminar conducted by supporting organizations and focused on financial literacy.*

  • Invitation to The Women’s Foundation Annual meeting and the Golf Classic Tee-Off Party.
  • Discounted tickets to the Grants Awards Luncheon Patron’s Party and the Financial Fitness Seminar.
  • Recognition at The Women’s Foundation events, in The Foundations’ publications and on The WFGKC website.
